About Top Spin Tracker Pro
Top Spin Tracker Pro is an iPhone app that measures and records the RPM of your shots while you train with a TopSpinPro. It was built by a club tennis player who spent years battling the forehand topspin puzzle—and finally cracked it with the right tool and clear feedback.
Three things I’m not
- I’m not a tennis coach.
- I’m not a touring tennis pro.
- I’m not a great videographer.
And what I am
I’m a club tennis player and a software developer. For years I struggled with forehand topspin. I watched countless videos and took lessons, but the mechanics never fully clicked—until I started training with the TopSpinPro. It taught me the correct contact and brushing path so the ball actually spins forward.
Why I built this app
TopSpinPro is fantastic for feel and mechanics, but it can’t tell you how much spin you’re producing. I wanted objective feedback—real RPM—so I built Top Spin Tracker Pro to pair with the device and show spin rate clearly.
How it works (simple setup)
- Put your iPhone in a tripod/holder with a ring light behind or near the TopSpinPro.
- Use the selfie (front-facing) camera and align the TopSpinPro ball near the center of the frame.
- Open the app and tap Start Monitoring.
- Hit your topspin reps. The app detects impacts and calculates an RPM decay curve, estimating spin from contact.
- Tap Stop Monitoring to see a session history and how your RPM changed across reps.
What you’ll see
- Per-hit RPM estimates with visible spin-down (decay) curves.
- Session history so you can track improvement over time.
- Clear, repeatable feedback that turns practice into progress.
Note: TopSpinPro® is a third-party product and trademark of its owner. Top Spin Tracker Pro is an independent app not affiliated with or endorsed by TopSpinPro.
